Iran Live Set at "The Sun Shines Once More"

Monday, 17th February 2020

Curated by Christian Smith, “The Sun Shines Once More” is promising to be a pretty spectacular evening. Christian and his collaborator Vlad Vlaev will present a noise set of objects and processed sounds. I will follow with a live laptop set of field recordings that travels from Isfahan to Shiraz to Tehran. And then we are in for a live improv-treat from NYC: “Nick Dunston (Double Bass/Banjo), Lester St. Louis (Cello), and Weston Olencki (Euphonium, low brass) are coming through the Hague next Tuesday for what promises to be an unforgettable set. All three of these musicians are at the top of their form in the NYC experimental and improvised music scene, and we’re so excited to have them in town this evening.”
