Album Release Iran-India

Out tonight, my album Iran-India, on the Tehran-based label Noise à Noise. Details in the press release text below. I hope you will enjoy these sound journeys, maybe particularly in a time of limited travel opportunities. Lots of people helped me gather the material for these pieces. Here the official press release text: Leonie Roessler is a composer, performer, and sound artist based in The Hague. She works extensively with field recordings, which she uses for installations, radio works, and live performances. Her two-track album “Iran-India” is made of field recordings that she took in Goa in 2017 during The Story of Space Festival, and in Isfahan, Tehran, and Shiraz between 2016 and 2019, while she was in residence at Limited Access Festival and New Media Society. The first track “Isfahan-Shiraz-Tehran” is a lush and roaring trip through a country that is equally colourful in sight and sound. Copper smiths at the bazaar in Isfahan, horses decorated with silver bells, mosques, recycling trucks with monotonous calls and children playing outside - all worked into a rich, sweeping tapestry. While the majority of the sounds for these two pieces appear in their pure state, certain layers slowly modulate through audio-processing, adding a surreal quality to this work of symphonic character. Iran-India is going to be released on August 11th, and will be available on all major online music distribution platforms, including Bandcamp and Spotify. لئونی روسلر ایران - هندوستان دو مسافرت شنیداری لئونی روسلر آهنگساز، اجراگر و هنرمند صدای مقیم #لاهه است. او به صورت گسترده‌ای از صداهای ضبط‌شده‌ی میدانی برای چیدمان‌ها، آثار رادیویی و اجراهای زنده‌ی خود استفاده می‌کند. این آلبوم در دو بخش و با عنوان «#ایران_هندوستان» آماده شده است. لئونی این دو قطعه را با استفاده از صداهای که در خلال سفرهای خود به #ایران خود ضبط کرده، تولید کرده است. او هنگامی که برای گذران اقامت‌ فرهنگی خود در جشنواره #دسترسی_محدود در #نیومدیا_سوسایتی دعوت شده بود و یا در زمانی میان نقل مکان به شهرهای #اصفهان، تهران و #شیراز در سال‌های ۹۵ تا ۹۸ این صداها را ضبط کرده است. در حالی که اکثر صداهای این دو قطعه در حالت خالص خود نمایان می‌شوند، جایگاه برخی از آن لایه‌های صدا به آرامی توسط تکنیک‌های #پردازش_صدا تغییر پیدا می‌کنند، موضوعی که به آنها خصوصیت #فراواقع‌گرایانه‌ ای مانند شاخصه‌های یک سمفونی می بخشد. ایران-هندوستان در روز سه‌شنبه ۲۱ مرداد ماه منتشر شود و از این تاریخ از طریق عمده پلتفرم‌های پخش اینترنتی موسیقی، مانند سایت بندکمپ، اسپاتیفای در دسترس خواهد بود
