Waterloo with Mark van Hattem

Mark van Hattem is sort of a Dutch Ansel Adams for me. His landscape photography has a particular depth and beauty which I don’t often see.

Mark, also working as a journalist, has been researching the battles which were fought in Waterloo in 1815. He took as series of photographs with a pin-hole camera on the actual sites where people fought and died some 200 years ago.

I am providing a soundscape, composed for 4 channels, which will be installed when Mark is exhibiting his work.

We are premiering a test-run on Thursday, January 23 at the Fotoacademie, Rotterdam, located in the Groothandelsgebouw.
